Run Light Stand 2015

What a wonderful day of today:) I became a volunteer of "Run Light Stand 2015", which was a charity run at dusk and night at Tai Mei Tuk, Tai Po Plover Cove Main Dam Heliport.

It was my first volunteering at noon. My post duty was selling the Charity Lotteries and T-shirt when the participants finish their competition. The Proceeds would donate to “Nepal Retrieve Action 2015”. Therefore, at the beginning of the race, I needed to set the booth and wait.

My booth was near the Tai Mei Tuk Hong Kong Federation of Youth Outdoor Activity Center. So, there were no people came and there were only staff until finishing the competition.

Finally, the race finished. The area started to became lively. However, there were only few people buying the charity lotteries and T-shirt. In my opinion, it was to expensive and the prizes were not attractive.

It was a good experience for me to learn how to manage the volunteer and the venue management. It is because I don’t think this charity run having the good manage of venue setting. The area was too small; it could not accommodate all of the participant.
